Tottenham Hotspur Part Ways with Interim Manager Cristian Stellini After Humiliating Defeat

Tottenham Hotspur have decided to part ways with interim head coach Cristian Stellini following a humiliating 6-1 defeat against Newcastle United. Stellini, who was previously Antonio Conte’s long-time assistant, took over as interim head coach after Conte was sacked due to a breakdown in relations with the club and players [1].

Stellini’s appointment as interim head coach was initially seen as a temporary solution while the club searched for a long-term replacement for Conte [3]. However, the 6-1 loss to Newcastle appears to have expedited the process, leading to an internal meeting at Spurs where the decision was made to let Stellini go.

With Stellini’s departure, Ryan Mason will return to the role of interim manager [5]. Mason, who had a short spell as caretaker boss in 2021, was appointed as interim assistant coach when Stellini took over as head coach.

Tottenham Hotspur will now continue their search for a permanent head coach, while Mason steers the team through the remainder of the season. The club will hope to bounce back from the recent turmoil and finish the season on a positive note.
